Under the guidance of Uwant, we had the opportunity to visit the campus of Johns Hopkins University (JHU) in Washington, D.C., the capital of the United States. JHU’s D.C. campus is ideally located at 555 Pennsylvania Avenue, right next to some of the most influential government institutions in the country, including the White House, the Capitol Building, and the Supreme Court. From this campus, you can even catch a glimpse of the White House and feel the strong political atmosphere all around. With nearby government agencies, international organizations, NGOs, and law firms, students have access to countless internship and research opportunities, allowing them to actively engage in the U.S. political and policy-making processes.
